Preparing the Triduum

This week we enter the holiest days of the year. The Triduum is not three separate events but one continuous liturgy — from the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday through the Easter Vigil on Saturday night. For our children, these days are the most powerful classroom we will ever have. Let them be present for all of it. Let them watch the altar be stripped bare. Let them venerate the cross. Let them sit in the darkness of Holy Saturday and feel the absence before the light returns. No textbook can do what these three days do. Slow down, set the schoolwork aside, and live the liturgy together. CHECH Science Labs @ HMNS — Registration Now Open

The hands-on science and history lab program at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is now part of CHECH for 2026–2027. Students in K–12th grade attend once a month on Thursdays or Fridays, divided by age group. This beloved program has served Catholic homeschool families for over 20 years, and we're proud to bring it under the CHECH umbrella. Registration is open now for CHECH members.
